BioI’m Kirstin. I’m seventeen, female, and I live in Northern Ireland.
I like cigarettes, fishnet tights, cheap wine, Ann Summers, photographs, reading about serial killers, crime lords and mental illnesses, and making people feel uncomfortable by being far too open. I love a few things, too - particularly my girlfriend, having a wee drink, and writing angst teenage trash. I listen to things like Tegan & Sara, Laura Marling, The Prodigy, Placebo, Aaron Shanley and The Horrors.
I’m studying English Literature, Politics and Photography in tech at the minute, with a plan to go on and study for a BTEC National Diploma in Applied Science - Forensics. I used to want to write for a living, and had high hopes of becoming a journalist. When I was in my first year of Media Studies at BTEC, I decided this wasn’t for me. Now, I want to become a Forensic Psychologist, as I spend the majority of my time reading about criminals and trying to understand them anyway, and I'm fascinated by the way the human mind works; what better a career than something you’re interested in? I plan on participating in NaNoWriMo this year, it’s the first year I will actually be participating in it.
My journal mainly focuses on my day-to-day life, talking about love and friendships (typical of any teenage girl I suppose). I’ll probably be posting a lot of photography when my course picks up, and also some excerpts from my writing for NaNoWriMo when it begins.
